In September 2025, our Director Shamime Jan was invited to speak at a Manchester City Council Scrutiny Committee meeting to share the story behind Bollyfit Active’s Trauma Awareness and Healing Circles.

In this powerful presentation, Shamime speaks openly about how the programme was born, how it is delivered in safe and culturally rooted ways, and the deep impact it’s having on South Asian women across Manchester.

The committee responded with warmth, encouragement, and a desire to support this work further.
