Diabetes Prevention Programme – Real Change for Real Women

In Crumpsall and Levenshulme, 75 women joined our 24-week Bollyfit Diabetes Prevention Programme – and the results have been powerful.
Many women lost weight safely and steadily
Blood sugar and other metabolic markers improved
Women reported feeling more confident, less isolated and more in control of their health
Friendships were formed, and movement became something to look forward to
These were women who often felt that “exercise isn’t for me” or who faced cultural, family or language barriers to joining mainstream classes. Through women-only, Bollywood-inspired sessions, we created a space where they felt seen, safe and understood.
“Before coming, I felt tired all the time. Now I move more, I’ve lost weight, and I actually enjoy looking after my health.”
